- Be sure to fix any cracks and holes in the walls before you begin painting. Fiberglass tape, spackle and texturizing products can help with this.
- Remove loose paint with a scraper. Clean holes with vacuum attachment. Wash down walls.
- Fill cracks with patching compound and smooth with putty knife. If needed, sand with sandpaper.
- Clean well and let dry.
Time to Prime
- Priming seals the surface, helping your top coat look richer.
